What is it like to suddenly be a single parent in a foreign country? For Zeit Online, I photographed Yevheniia and Olena, who fled Kharkiv a month ago with their four children. Their little daughters took the first steps here in Germany, but their fathers could only see it on the cell phone screen, because men between the ages of 18 and 60 are not allowed to leave Ukraine.
